Job Description: Focuses on the financial health of the production process, involving duties like calculating and analyzing production costs, managing inventory, and preparing reports on gross margins.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Cost Accounting: Calculate, analyze, and report on manufacturing costs, including tracking direct materials, labor, and overhead.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing manufacturing budgets and forecasts based on production trends and financial data.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial data within the accounting system
- Conduct analysis to understand the profitability of products and customers
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including gross margin reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Key qualifications and skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Fluent in Swahili and Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Must be able to relocate to Kigoma, Tanzania near Kigoma Millers’s site
- Must be Tanzanian, and 18+ years old.
