Job Description: Oversees the entire milling operations process from raw maize to flour
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing maize flour from raw maize
- Scheduling production staff members to ensure proper coverage
- Setting productivity goals for the production team
- Enforcing policies and regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Allocating resources for the production department
- Supervising production personnel, such as Production Assistants
- Ensuring all products meet quality standards
- Resolving problems or delays in production
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience as a production manager or in a similar role.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in sector-specific disciplines such as: Production engineering, management, manufacturing, or related field
- Fluent in Swahili and Intermediate English proficiency
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- IT and numerical skills, along with effective teamworking abilities.
- Must also be able to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines
- Must be able to relocate to Kigoma, Tanzania near Kigoma Millers’s site
- Must be Tanzanian, and 18+ years old.
